to the Capital Area – PA Young Marines website.  The Young Marines is a 501(c)(3) non-profit youth education program for boys and girls ages eight through completion of high school.  The program focuses on character building through a combination of self-discipline, teamwork and leadership, as well as promoting a healthy, drug free lifestyle.  The Young Marines is the official youth program of the U.S. Marine Corps and the focal point of the Marine Corps’ Youth Drug Demand Reduction efforts.

The Young Marines was founded in 1959, by the Brass City detachment of the Marine Corps League in Waterbury, CT. The Young Marines received their charter on October 17, 1965, and continues its affiliation with the Marine Corps League today. The Capital Area – PA Young Marines was formed in 1999, and is supported by three local Marine Corps League Detachments.

We invite you to visit us at one of our events to meet and greet the Young Marines, to speak with the training instructors and staff, and to see first hand what the Capital Area – PA Young Marines has to offer you and your child.  Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions after visiting our website.
